Sweet Boy

Our precious boy had a head full of hair and everyone says he looks like ME!!!

We were in the hospital for 2 days so by Saturday we were beyond ready to go home!  When we put JP in his carseat it swallowed him :)

He was such a happy baby and is completely healthy!  He passed all his tests and was cleared to go home :)

The first few weeks I feel like all he did was eat and sleep!  He was very active though from the beginning.  My wild man lifted his head and looked at me the day he was born :)

His one week checkup went great!  He had gaines some weigh and was still healthy.  We got this photo of him looking at himself in the mirror at Pediatrics East :)  His pediatrician is Dr Montgomery and we love him!

This was daddy's first bottle feeding, Jayce basically showed him he didn't need help and held the bottle on his own!  I breastfed for the first 4 weeks then we started adding formula because mommy wasn't producing enough to fill this chunky boy!  We started with Enfamil Newborn but had some tummy issues and shortly after switched him to Enfamil Gentlease, he is still doing great with this!

This is another of my favorites :)  He is so stinking cute!

Our first family Christmas!

 JP smiled for Santa :)

Me and Nana (my mom) attempted to get some Christmas pictures but Jayce wasn't enjoying it to much!  It is crazy to think this was only a month ago and he was so tiny!

Time Flies!

WOW it is crazy to think my little Peanut is almost 12 weeks old! I am way behind on updating this so be prepared for A LOT!!

On November 28th we had our weekly checkup with Dr Reidley and everything was perfect with our baby boy! I was getting a bit tired of being fat and pregnant so we decided to go ahead and schedule to be induced on December 7th, my due date was the 9th.

Much to our surprise that night mommys water broke!! Davis and I were woken by Wilson, our dog, going crazy barking for no apparent reason. Davis got up to let him out and he refused to step outside and just continued to bark. Minutes later I got out of the bed, thinking I had to use the restroom and well we will leave the details out! I am positive Wilson knew his brother was ready to make his debute and warned us before my water broke, crazy how dogs can sense these things!

So on November 29, 2012 we picked up my mom and headed to Methodist Germantown at 3AM to meet our little miracle! I was not having any contractions or pain just the constant thought that I was peeing on myself, not fun!

We got into a room around 4:30AM and Aunt Sam was the first to arrive! Around 6 Dr Reidley arrived and i was about 5 cm dialated so she sped the process up. At this point I really started feeling the contractions and more family and friends arrived. Around 7:45AM I decided that I was ready for my epidural. The epidural took about 20 minutes and was not the easiest thing considering contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and rather strong but Davis helped me through it!

Around 10AM I was 5-6 cm dialated. At 12:30 the nurse said I was ready and we would start pushing in 30 minutes, honestly the adrenaline from hearing this made me have a melt down! So many emotions knowing I was about to meet this miracle after carrying him for 9 months! At 1PM we started pushing and at 1:16 Jayce Parker McCracken was brought into the world :) He couldn't have been more handsome!

Big brother ;)

Wilson definitely knows something is going on with all the of JPs things throughout the house he's getting curious! The other day he decided to let Jayce know whose boss and have a little chat...he was growling and putting his paws on my belly while Jayce moved around :) I really think they're going to be best buddies!

Dinner date

This weekend my dad took Davis and I to dinner so I took the opportunity to get photos of us dressed up since we never do anymore!

2 weeks to go!!

We hadn't taken a baby bump picture in 8 weeks... Yes I know I am slacking! So here is 30 weeks compared to 38 weeks. Our boy is getting big in there :)

Thanksgiving 2012

So I got a little Christmas happy and put the tree up extra early this year :) We will be bringing baby home soon so I wanted to be sure it was up before I my time is filled with Jayce!

Thanksgiving was wonderful as usual! We spent the day at my parents and ate lots of yummy food!! That evening Davis' sister and dad came over for some football :) Wilson even got full on turkey!!

Jayce Parker's Nursery

The nursery is officially complete only thing missing is our sweet boy :) I can't wait to actually bring him home! I still find a reason daily to walk into the nursery even though there is nothing left to do!!
