Jayce's Monster Bash

For Jayce's first birthday we had a Monster Bash!! It was a lot of work but turned out better than I had hoped for!  We had a great turn out with all of his little buddies!! Jayce was spoiled with love and lots of toys, he really enjoyed his cake pops and playing with family and friends!

This day brought a lot of joyful tears to my eyes!  I seriously can't explain how blessed I am to be this boys mommy!  We surprised him his birthday morning by filling his crib with balloons!! Needless to say he was ecstatic :)

 

We let him open one gift from us on his birthday and saved the rest for his party which was the following day!  He loved this car toy!  The smile makes me so happy!

Jayce's first Thanksgiving!

This was Jayce's first Thanksgiving!! It is crazy to think this time last year I was anxiously awaiting his arrival! I remember walking my mom's stairs several times hoping it would put me into labor!

 

He enjoyed all the yummy food!  Excuse my swollen face...I was getting over a severe allergic reaction due to dying my hair!  It was not a pretty site so I wont post the details!

Jayce has THRUSH :(

Our poor boy was so sick and woke up one morning with white bumps all in his mouth.  We took him to the Saturday clinic and saw the on call doctor....BIG MISTAKE!  She said he had hand-foot-mouth and that there was nothing they could do about it and to just let it run its course.

 

Sooo my poor child suffered for 9 days and by then I'd had enough!  We made an appointment with Dr Montgomery and ended up he did not have HFM, he had thrush! Which is something they could give him medicine for and it was cleared up within 24 hours!  Needless to say I was one very angry mother.  I hated seeing him like this and hope we never go through that again!

Arkansas Family

We took a trip to Arkansas to see some of our family there and celebrate Jayce's cousin Landen's first birthday!!  I was really excited that Jayce got to see my Mamaw for the second time :)  She just kept saying how handsome he was!  They even got to play the piano together...which totatly melted my heart!

Playground Fun with Ryder

We had some really nice weather in the Fall so we got to make a few trips to the playground at Jeter school!  Jayce and Ryder are best buddies these days and it is a lot of fun watching them interact as they grow!  Big boys climbing the slide!! And of course a selfie with mommy :)

Boogies First Halloween

We took advantage of some nice weather and had a family trip to the Zoo! The fall setups were really cute and made for some fun photos :)

 

 

Instead of carving pumpkins, which I figured would be rather difficult and possibly dangerous with an infant we decided to paint them!! Below is Jayce's very first pumpkin :) He very badly wanted to eat the paint!!!  We also took a trip one day to a local spa for free face painting...him was Frankenstein! Isn't he the cutest?! 

 

For Jayce's first Halloween he was a monster!! Daddy and I love the monster theme and his birthday will be that as well so we figured it worked :)  He had a blast his first time trick-or-treating with RyRy!  The got lots of candies and had fun playing with it all....obviously I ate more than he did lol.
